      Hello:

I am trying to diagnose a problem with the power trunk lid on my VW Phaeton. The Phaeton wiring diagram 35/2 shows a 'Rear Lid Control Module', identified as J605, but I cannot find a module corresponding to this name on release 409.1 of the VAG-COM software.

The Phaeton Self Study program Nr. 272 identifies this module (J605) as a slave of J393, the Central Control Unit for the Convenience System. I presume that J393 is the module that shows up as address 46.

Should the slave module (J605) also have its own address, and if so, what number is it?

      Thanks, Michael

Not every "control module" is seperately addressable. Most particularly if the SSP identifies it as a slave, it likely isn't. The VAS also does not show an entry for that module.

Thanks, Uwe. I really appreciate the prompt support you provide to VAG-COM owners here in this forum.
